M-Live has developed an impressive karaoke application that transforms your iPad into a comprehensive karaoke station. The app supports a variety of file formats, including MIDI files (requiring an iPad-compatible external sound module), MP3 files with lyrics, and the widely-used MP3+G format. Additionally, Grinta Karaoke PRO offers features such as real-time transposing and time-shifting capabilities.

Grinta Karaoke serves well for both professional performances and leisurely gatherings with friends and family. The integrated digital store, SongService.it, provides immediate access to thousands of backing tracks in MIDI and MP3 formats, complete with karaoke lyrics.

The app is organized into five main sections:

• KARAOKE: This section displays the lyrics in full screen, highlighting the text in time with the music.
• LIBRARY: Here, users can access their imported songs and create personalized playlists.
• EDITING: This allows for detailed adjustments to MIDI track parameters such as instrument selection, velocity, transposition, reverb, chorus, and more.
• MIXER: Users can manipulate track levels in real-time, enabling customized remixes of their favorite songs.
• CHORDS: This feature displays chord progressions in four formats: Piano, Guitar, Text, and Live Keys.

Each section of the app can be toggled between full screen and half screen to accommodate the display of song lyrics alongside other functionalities.

In terms of backing tracks, Grinta Karaoke PRO allows for the importing of personal libraries. Users can play MIDI, MP3, and MP3+G files directly from their computer by syncing with iTunes, effectively transferring their entire collection to the iPad.

Note: To utilize MIDI files, the iPad must connect to an external sound module using a Camera Connection Kit and USB cable. Both MP3 and MP3+G files are playable directly on the iPad or via a compatible external sound module.
